Inventory Diagnostic
A structured assessment of a company’s inventory position. You see, in dollars, how much capital is tied up in excess and slow-moving stock, where availability is at risk, and which corrective actions come first.
- Written report with findings quantified in dollars
- Prioritized 90-day action plan
- One-hour executive readout
- Complete Excel working file
Founding offer: $450 CAD + HST if applicable for the first three diagnostics booked by January 20, 2027, delivered in February 2027.
Diagnostic detailsMonthly Planning Retainer
Ongoing planning support. Each month it delivers a SKU-level demand forecast, a purchase plan by supplier and follow-up on open orders, managing inventory toward the service level agreed with each client.
- Inventory turns, stockouts and days of coverage reviewed every month
- Plus adds a light S&OP cycle, support for launches and promotions, continuous improvement of the planning process and an annual logistics review
*Diagnostic timeline confirmed at kickoff: depending on the number of SKUs and the scope of raw materials — in manufacturing operations in particular — the engagement may be scheduled over three weeks or another agreed timeline.
**Monthly fee is a starting point: the final fee is quoted for each operation, based on the number of active SKUs, the suppliers under management and the type of operation (manufacturing, distribution, imports vs. local supply). Minimum engagement: three months.
Process week by week
Before kickoff
Free 20-minute introductory call (Zoom video call) and confirmation of the engagement in the Services Agreement and Schedule A.
Week 1 — Data and analysis
Kickoff session, a half-day visit to the warehouse, and analysis: ABC/XYZ segmentation, days of coverage, excess and obsolescence valuation, and lead times by supplier.
Week 2 — Findings and recommendations
Excess and obsolete stock quantified with the estimated cost of stockouts; safety stocks and reorder points calculated; findings prioritized into a 90-day action plan.
After the diagnostic
The diagnostic is the foundation for the Monthly Planning Retainer, whose monthly cycle maintains it month to month.
